Cabin Fever - Soup Supper

Cabin Fever! It's cold outside but the soups are hot at the Cabin Fever Soup Supper scheduled for Feb. 18 - 4:30-7:00pm at the Castle Club located next to the Victorian House Museum.  The featured soups are chili, brocoli cheese and ham and bean along with a variety of desserts, coleslaw, cornbread and beverage.  All by donation.  Don't want to go home from work and cook then stop by for carryout. All proceeds go toward continuing Historical Society and Cultural Center operations and improvements.

Join us for an evening of fun and paranormal exploration in a 116 year old mansion many say is haunted.

After an orientation next door in the Castle Club, you will move to the Victorian House for pre-investigation activities, followed by a tour of the mansion. After which guests will have an hour to explore the house on their own. The evening will conclude with a wrap-up session at 10:00 pm, where everyone will have a chance to share their experiences. As an added bonus ..........

Rosella C. Rowe, paranormal investigator and paranormal thriller author of, The Haunting at 2095 and the well known blog, My Haunted Travel Bloghttps://myhauntedtravelblog.blogspot.com/ and host of A Haunting Good Time Radio Show will join us for the evening . She will have her books available for signing plus assist in our investigation. 

Rosella has years of ghost hunting and investigation experience in the paranormal field traveling around the U.S to the most haunted-historic locations and writing about them in her blog. Rosella prides herself on telling the real story and truth regarding her ghostly experiences with spirits she encountered at historic locations, as well as the legends that surround the entity. 

You are encouraged to bring ghost hunting equipment, cameras, and hand held audio recorders. Due to possible battery drain, this tour is not recommended for those who depend upon life saving battery operated medical equipment, such as defibrillators, pacemakers, or insulin pumps.

Ye Old Maps of Holmes County

Ye Old Maps of Holmes Co. - Where we have been! - Where we are going! This is a  fascinating look at the rare old maps of Holmes Co. Come and learn about a recent discovery in the Library of Congress of old detailed maps of Millersburg.  These rare maps show a snapshot in time.  Some are of great detail.   See a rare map showing over 200 one room schools and more.  The program will be a combination of actual blowups of some combined with an informative powerpoint presentation.   The program will be narrated by Historical Society Director Mark Boley.   The program will be staged at the Millersburg Catholic Community Center located at the end of South Crawford St and will begin at 7:00.   Due to social distancing requirements seating will be limted to 100 people only.

Myths and Legends of Holmes Co.

MYTHS AND LEGENDS OF HOLMES CO.  This is a spin off program based on our Unusual and Mysterious Holmes Co.  but with a new theme.   

Come and learn about the legend of the doughty valley gold, tom lyons the last Indian of holmesville, Panthers Hollow, serpent type creatures in Lake Odell and much more including updates of Holmes Co. Bigfoot sightings.  Presenters are Mary Tipton and Melissa Patrick with audience participation encouraged.  Due to the Covid distancing requirements seating will be limited to 100 people.  The program will be at the St. Peters Catholic Community Center in Millersburg located on S. Crawford St.  Door will open 30 min. prior to programming.  Seating is first come first serve and is free. HOLIDAYS AT THE MANSION 2020

Come join us for a holiday delight with the popular Holidays at the Mansion. Tours of the Victorian House mansion in Historic Millersburg, Ohio.  Located at 484 Wooster Rd. Millersburg, OH  44654, the house is 28 rooms decorated by area businesses, organizations and private individuals .  The house museum will be open 7 days a week from Nov. 15-Dec. 31.  Hours are Sunday - Thurs. 1:00-4:00pm and Friday and Saturday 1:00-8:00pm.  Grand opening is Nov. 21 house with music and more....   Nov. 29 is a special day starting with a visit from Santa followed by story telling by David Lorah followed by a Victorian House coloring contest for the children.  This is a family friendly event good for all ages but especially those young at heart.  For up to date information for the holidays follow us on Facebook at www.facebook.com/victorianhous... or our website at www.victorianhouse.org
