The History of the Holmes County Home
Join us at The Church of Christ in Holmesville Discover the fascinating history of the Holmes County Home, from its beginnings as the county infirmary in the 1860s to its rebuilding after the devastating 1895 fire. Learn how this landmark—built with locally made bricks and rooted in community care—became an important part of Holmes County's story for generations. Join us for an engaging look at the people, events, and stories that shaped this historic landmark. The program is free to the public. Seating is first come, first served.

Echos of America - An American 250 Tivia Night
Join the Holmes County Historical Society for an evening of history, friendly competition, and great food — all while supporting local history! Test your knowledge with trivia spanning American history, Ohio history, and Holmes County history, then enjoy a special Spooky History round in celebration of the season. Between rounds, relax with historically inspired mocktails, a selection of hors d'oeuvres, and homemade desserts, all included with admission.
History & Haunts Tour
Step into the shadows of the past this Halloween at the Victorian House Museum in historic Millersburg. Guests will explore the grand Victorian mansion while uncovering fascinating stories from its past, along with recent ghost sightings and unexplained happenings reported inside the historic home. The evening offers a perfect blend of local history, mystery, and spine-tingling fun in one of Holmes County's most treasured landmarks. Two tour sessions will be offered, with attendance limited to 15 guests per session to provide an intimate experience. Admission is $20 per person. Whether you're a history enthusiast, paranormal fan, or simply looking for a unique Halloween event, History & Haunts Tours promises an unforgettable night inside one of Ohio's most intriguing historic homes.
